Schema Markup Checker is a Chrome extension that scans the structured data (JSON-LD and microdata) present on the webpage you are currently viewing. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and, just as importantly, what it does not do with it.
When you click the extension icon, it reads the HTML of the current tab to find:
This is limited to publicly visible structured data already present in the page's source code.
All scanning and analysis happens entirely within your browser, in memory, for as long as the popup is open. Nothing is saved once you close the popup or navigate away from the page.
The "Rich results test" button opens Google's own Rich Results Test tool in a new tab, passing along the URL of the page you were viewing. This interaction is governed by Google's own privacy policy, not this extension's.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a revised "last updated" date.
